July 1, 2008
On June 5, 2008 Sister Rita and Sister Magdalena began their 2008 Mission Trip to Tanzania, in East Africa. After three weeks of intense ministry they returned to Prayer Town on the evening of July 1.
They conducted retreats for women religious in the dioceses of Dodoma and Morogoro, as well as giving talks at large rallies in the cities of Dodoma and Dar-es-Salaam. They also did prayer ministry in all three locations.
In addition to these ministries, they gave talks at Don Bosco Center in Dar-es-Salaam for a prayer group of English-speaking people of Indian descent, mainly from Goa. They also did prayer ministry in the island of Zanzibar to Catholics that live there. Zanzibar is a country with a 95% Muslim population.
Sister Rita has been going on mission trips to Tanzania since 2004, so this is her fifth time in that country, while it is the first time for Sister Magdalena in an African country.
Thank you for your prayers for this mission trip. The success of this mission depended in great part on your prayers. It is a privilege to us to go and proclaim the Name of Jesus to these people, many of whom might have never heard His Name before, and to see the signs and wonders the Lord works wherever the Gospel is proclaimed.
YOUR support has made this possible.
