Final profession of vows is the culmination of many years of discernment, formation, and professing temporary vows. Sister Regina Marie came as an aspirant in 2003. Through these years she has persevered in her calling and blossomed beautifully as a religious. During the solemn Eucharistic celebration the litany of saints will be sung, Sister will profess vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience for the rest of her life, the bishop will consecrate her by praying a special prayer of consecration. She will receive the insignia of profession which is a ring with the words "Jesus is Lord" inscribed on it and a blue band attached to her grey veil. The blue band symbolizes our consecration to the Blessed Mother which is also a part of the ceremony.
Sister has her Masters in vocal performance from Catholic University. She now uses her giftedness in singing for the Lord, her divine Bridegroom and spreading the fragrance of His love wherever He sends her. Her final profession is a gift not only to our Community but to the Diocese of Amarillo and the universal Church. We join her in celebrating and rejoicing with all heaven and earth as she gives of herself unreservedly to the King of Kings for the rest of her life.
