November 19, 2008
Mother Lucy made her canonical visit to our mission house in Monterrey, Mexico from November 19-25, 2008.
Every year the Superior or her delegate makes an official visit to each house of the institute, to visit with the Sisters, listen to them and encourage them in their religious life and ministries. It is a time of grace for the entire community, but most especially for those laboring in the mission house. It is also an opportunity for Mother Lucy to express the community’s gratitude to our benefactors in Monterrey, and meet the people we serve in Mexico.
Sisters Damiana, Kateri, and Mariana have been currently assigned to this mission house. Besides leading their lives of prayer and contemplation, they are engaged in various evangelistic ministries and vocation promotion. Sister Damiana is the local Superior, while Sister Kateri assists her in whatever is needed. Sister Mariana, a temporary professed Sister, is having a mission house experience while continuing her studies.
May God continue to show His loving kindness to our Sisters in the mission house in Mexico, providing for all their needs, and the needs of the people in Monterrey.
