Both, Eileen and her husband, Domingo, served in the Marines. They now live in Amarillo and their youngest son, Jacob, lives with them. They have five children; two sons and three daughters, three of whom are married. Jacob, who is 24 years old had a twin sister, Jacqueline who lived only for a day but had the privilege of being baptized. Jacob developed cerebral palsy and is need of much assistance to carry out the daily normal functions that most of us take for granted. This is where the heroic love and generosity of this wonderful family shines. God always chooses a special family to take care of special children. I have personally witnessed the sacrficial love and care given to Jacob.
On the other hand Jacob, an intelligent and delightful person is a blessing to the family. He reminds us of what is more important and that is life itself. He is studying Radio and TV production at Amarillo College.
This year Eileen is coordinating our annual mailing project for us in Amarillo. Tammie Gray who did this work for us for the last four years will assist her as much as she can. Over the years the number of volunteers have grown and they love working alongside the Sisters and sharing prayer and meals with us. A big "THANK YOU" to Eileen, Tammie, and all our volunteers. You hold a special place in our hearts and in the Heart of God Himself. Remember the reason you don't get paid is because you are priceless!
