November 25, 2008
On Tuesday, November 25, 2008, six of our Sisters attended the Annual Amarillo Community Prayer Breakfast, held at the Civic Center.
The Community Prayer Breakfast (CPB) of Amarillo, Texas is an annual event designed to mobilize prayer and spiritual support in a “non-church” setting for governmental and community leadership serving this community on a local, state, and national basis and to acknowledge the community’s dependence on God for its well-being. This event is convened with the support of persons and businesses in the Amarillo, Texas area; a venue for honoring Jesus Christ, it is open to people of all faiths.
The breakfast began at 6:00 am. Golfer Wally Armstrong
gave an inspirational speech. He is the president of Gator Golf Enterprises, Inc., and has played professionally and taught golf since 1968. Armstrong has also become an active, dynamic ambassador for his Christian faith, with a ministry that reaches far beyond the United States.
