On June 25-27, two of our Sisters will participate in the Women's Vocation Camp of the Diocese of Duluth
, Minnesota. Sister Gabriel Mary, originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Sister Regina Marie, from Virginia will share this time with the young ladies attending the camp.
Each year this Diocese organizes separate Vocation Camps for young men and women. During this camps the young people are able to interact with consecrated women and/or priests, receiving teachings on the theme of vocations and the spiritual life, with opportunities for prayer and the reception of the sacraments, and also with times for fellowship and fun.
These vocation camps have been proved fruitful in encouraging vocation to the Priesthood and Religious Life in a Diocese that is counted among the ones thriving with young vocations. Deacon Mike Knuth, the Vocation Director for the Diocese of Duluth, with much help from his wife Lori, have done a fantastic job in vocation promotion, and these camps are only a part of their ministry in vocations.
Participating in these camps for the last few years has been a privilege for our community, and our Sisters are looking forward to spend this time with the young ladies at the camp.

"[The Diocese of Duluth has] 20 young men enrolled in seminary and committed to serving in the Duluth Diocese, a collection of 93 parishes across Northeastern and central Minnesota. For its population of Catholics, more young men from the Duluth Diocese have become priests than in most other dioceses in the country."

Dear Young People,
God has never stopped calling you to come and follow Him. This basic call to holiness and discipleship goes out to all men and women. A call from God is basically an invitation. God is inviting you to follow Him through a vocational plan that He placed within your heart at the moment of your conception. We are created in God's image and, from the moment of our conception, He loved what He saw and calls us back to Himself. This vocational call is either to the single life, married life, or the consecrated life. As you are seeking to discover this call in your heart, let me assure you of my prayers and encourage you to make use of our web page and to feel free to contact me, or one of the other members of my vocation team. Be not afraid.
"For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe, plans to give you a future full of hope. (Jer. 29:11)
– Most Reverend Dennis M. Schnurr, Bishop of Duluth
